ValueCall and ValueCall Plus are alternative telephone services for businesses riding on hybrid technology. ValueCall provides the subscriber with single or multiple telephone lines. ValueCall Plus provides the subscriber with a 30-channel ISDN PRI trunk.
1. Who is eligible to subscribe to ValueCall and ValueCall Plus?
Any business organisation located in Maxis' serviceable areas is eligible to subscribe for the service. The service is not available to residential customers.
2. What benefits does the ValueCall/ValueCall Plus service bring to me?
In terms of costs, you will enjoy huge savings for subscribing to ValueCall / ValueCall Plus. Customers will enjoy a flat up to 85% discount on call charges which include national calls, calls to mobile phones as well as international calls. You also gain from the superior level of Customer Service provided by Maxis, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In terms of service convenience, you will not have the hassle of
subscribing to VoIP services such as 2-stage dialing and inferior
quality.
3. Does the discounts include calls to special numbers such as Internet, 600 premium rate service and directory enquiry?
No. Calls falling under the category of "Others" such as to Jaring 1511, 600 premium rate services, 103 directory enquiry and toll-free 1-300 will be charged at the standard rate and are not entitled to the discounts.
4. Are the discounts a promotion? When will the promotion end?
You will enjoy up to 85% savings on a permanent basis.
However, Maxis reserves the right to change the priviledges without prior notice.
5. How will the discounts be shown in the bill?
The call details that are listed in the bill will be calculated based on the applicable rates after the discount has been deducted from the published rates. For example, if you make a 1-minute call from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching, Sarawak during peak hour, you will see in your bill that the call charge is RM0.25 (standard peak rate for such call is RM0.90).
6. What are the differences between ValueCall / ValueCall Plus service and VoIP service?
Because the lines are connected directly to the Maxis network, there is no need for additional equipment such as auto-dialler / billing software to be installed. And as your calls will be connected instantly, that means no local call charges to any special access number either.
With Maxis' ValueCall/ValueCall Plus, you enjoy a flat up to 85% discount. national, mobile and international calls. The discount applies 24 hours a day. What's more, you'll only receive one bill, saving you a lot of hassle. So all in all, you save on call expenses and valuable time, and have more peace of mind.
7. Could a ValueCall / ValueCall Plus line be used for fax?
Yes. You can send faxes through a ValueCall / ValueCall Plus line.
It is advisable to have a separate ValueCall telephone line number
(no multi-hunt) for fax purposes.
8. I am not a current Maxis fixed line customer. How do I register for the ValueCall/ValueCall Plus service?
If you are a new customer to Maxis, you must complete the Corporate / Company Registration Form, sign the Addendum and attach all relevant documents. You can get the form at selected Maxis Centres within the Klang Valley or call 1-800-82-1919 where your Account Manager or Maxis' authorised resellers will attend to your queries.
9. How long is the activation time upon application?
For ValueCall, activation will be done within 24 hours provided you have completed your internal wiring*.
ValueCall Plus, will take 8 working days*, provided that there is adequate capacity in your building.

10. How can I list my ValueCall / ValueCall Plus telephone number in the White Pages or Yellow Pages directory?
For listing in the White Pages, you may make a request to Maxis by indicating on the Registration Form to include your telephone number in the White Pages.

11. Are there any special conditions attached to the ValueCall / ValueCall Plus service?
Customers only need to sign up for a minimum one-year contract period.
